Evolucija svega Met Ridli

Ridli ruši mit o svetu kao unapred osmišljenom i isplaniranom mestu za život, gde velikim događajima i promenama današnjice neko upravlja "odozgo". Sasvim je suprotno, naša najveća dostignuća dolaze "odozdo", za šta nalazi brojne argumente u nauci, ekonomiji, istoriji, politici i filozofiji i uverljivo pokazuje da ljudsko društvo evoluira i da se veliki događaji i kretanja, ljudska dostignuća, navike i običaji – praktično celokupna ljudska kultura – menjaju  postepeno, spontano i neminovno, po istim principima koji vladaju evolucijom živog sveta.
