Dejan Tiago Stanković
Dejan Tiago-Stankovic (b. Belgrade, 1965) is widely known as a translator from and into Portuguese. After getting his degree in architecture, he left Yugoslavia in 1991 just before civil war ripped the country apart. After a short sojourn in London, he moved to Lisbon where he resides to this day. To the Serbian public, he is known as the translator of Saramago’s novels, and to the Portuguese he is known for his translations of Andric, Crnjanski, Dragoslav Mihailovic, and the plays of Dušan Kovacevic. Estoril is his first novel.
