Mira Otašević (1944 – 2019), was a dramaturg based in Belgrade. Her work centered around theory of literature and theatre, with a particular focus on the historical avant-garde. Her writings include a collection of multigenre essays, Spojeni sudovi [Communicating Vessels] (1980), as well as the novels Magamal (Geopoetika, 1994), Ničeova sestra [Nietzsche’s Sister] (Geopoetika, 1999), Beket i jastog [Beckett and the Lobster] (Geopoetika, 2005), Zmajevi od papira [Paper Dragons] (Geopoetika, 2008), Zoja (Geopoetika, 2012) and Gorgone [The Gorgons] (Geopoetika, 2017).
